Bennett Elementary School

Two Frenship Schools Kick Off New Year with New Look

Two Frenship elementary schools are gearing up for a new year with a new and improved look. The summer-long project included renovations to Crestview Elementary and Bennett Elementary to bring a fresh feel and updated look to the campuses.

Instead of dark, outdated wood paneling covering the walls, students will now be met with brighter hallways consisting of light gray and blue plastic laminate walls. Bennett Principal Chera Bessire hopes the new look will create a more positive and upbeat atmosphere for the students as they enter the school and walk to their classes.

“The building looks amazing. The students will be greeted by brighter hallways and new floors,” said Bessire. “The entire campus is refreshed and ready for a new year.”

In addition to the paneling, the campus corridors have new LVT flooring to replace the old tile. The new flooring has multiple benefits including sound absorption and low maintenance cost for the District.

Crestview and Bennett are the second round of elementary schools to receive these types of renovations to help ensure facility equity throughout the district. Westwind and North Ridge, the two oldest elementary campuses, were updated last summer with the same flooring, wall paneling and color scheme.
