The Take Flight Program is a curriculum designed to support students with dyslexia by providing them with the tools they need to be successful readers. Through the intensive and specialized reading program, the students are able to achieve better word recognition, reading fluency, and reading comprehension.

Samantha Wright, the dyslexia practitioner at Bennett Elementary, says her students are bright and with the aid of the Take Flight Program they're able to improve their reading through phonological awareness that uses a multi-sensory approach. 

Wright wanted to reward her students for all their hard work this semester. To recognize the student's accomplishments and completion of the program, Wright and the students walked to the Braum’s next to the school and celebrated with ice cream cones.
