Frenship Students Achieve Success at Elementary and Middle School Academic UIL

This past Monday while most students enjoyed the day off, over 500 Frenship elementary and middle students competed in a variety of Academic UIL events. Each year Frenship ISD and Lubbock-Cooper ISD host a joint invitational for the younger students within the two districts.

This contest is an A+ Academic program as a part of the University Interscholastic League (UIL) organization and was designed specifically for elementary and middle school students. The A+ Academic program serves as the first step in a student’s UIL journey, offering younger students the chance to gain experience in academic competitions with the aim of continuing to compete in UIL events through high school.

“We had a great day at the Frenship and Lubbock-Cooper Invitational UIL Meet,” said Sarah Burleson, Frenship ISD Science Coordinator. “Frenship participants and coaches have dedicated a lot of time to prepare for this meet, and today they were able to show off their skills. I am so proud of each and every one of our participants!”
