Frenship Foundation Awards $100,000 in Teacher Grants During Annual Prize Patrol Event

During the Prize Patrol celebration, Foundation board members, donors, and spirit squads paraded down campus hallways with oversized checks to present to teachers. In the end, 59 grants were awarded, totaling $100,000, impacting students from Pre-K through 12th grade.

“Seeing Prize Patrol grow each year is a true reflection of the generosity of our donors,” said Tiffany Taylor, Frenship Foundation Executive Director. “Their continued support allows the Foundation to reach more classrooms, support more educators, and make an even greater impact across Frenship ISD each year.”

This year, teachers from across all 16 campuses received grants, with some that will affect every single student on their campus. The grants also touch a wide variety of subjects, including Career and Technical Education, Fine Arts, PE, core subjects, special education, gifted and talented, dual language, technology, and more.

“Our teachers continue to ‘wow’ us each year with the creativity they pour into their grant applications,” said Taylor. “It is inspiring to learn about their vision on how they can broaden their teaching and elevate the experiences of their students.”

As a special treat and thank you, sponsors for the Foundation’s upcoming Evening in Big Cat Country event were able to present the grants, giving them a firsthand look at how their donations are impacting education at Frenship.
