Bennett Elementary School

Cathy Barnhill

I am thrilled to serve as an Assistant Principal at Bennett Elementary! With over two decades of experience in education, I bring a wealth of knowledge, leadership, and a heartfelt commitment to student success to our campus.
Originally from Munday, Texas, I developed a passion for education early in life. A fun fact many may not know—I actually attended Kindergarten at Casey Elementary before moving to Munday.
After graduating from high school, I moved to Lubbock, where I earned my degree from Texas Tech University. I have proudly called West Texas home ever since. Over the past 22+ years, I have served in a variety of educational roles, including 14 years as a classroom teacher. My teaching experience spans grade levels and student populations, giving me a deep understanding of the challenges and rewards of teaching.
I have served as an assistant principal at both the elementary and secondary levels. My leadership is rooted in strong relationships, a collaborative spirit, and a firm belief that every child deserves the opportunity to learn and grow in a safe, supportive environment.
I am excited to be at Bennett Elementary within Frenship ISD. I look forward to partnering with families, supporting teachers, and most importantly, making a positive impact on the lives of students every single day.
Outside of school, my husband and I have four amazing kids, four grandchildren, and two bulldogs. We love to spend time with family and friends doing outdoor activities. I love to cook, paint, and read a good book when I get the chance.
