Hello! My name is Dana Cooley.  I am the media specialist/librarian here at Bennett.  This is my 31st year as an educator and my 23rd year in Frenship. I am a graduate of LeJeune High School, studied at Coastal Carolina Community College and graduated from Texas Tech University.   

 

I share my life with my husband of 34 years and my four awesome kids who have been blessed to spend their entire school careers as Frenship Tigers! We as a family also share of love of animals with 4 dogs, 3 cats & 5 guinea pigs! 

 

I am the daughter of a military man. I learned that moving and change was an opportunity to meet new people and try new things. They took us to libraries everywhere we lived and shared by example the love of reading and a love of learning. This lead me to a career that I love - teaching. I have experience teaching Art; Gifted and Talented; every subject for 4th and 5th grade and have an ESL certification. I have been a UIL academic coach for Art and Chess puzzles. I love books and talking about them.

 

In Frenship, I have had the honor of teaching Reading and sharing my love of books.  I feel so blessed to be in a position to learn and share more about books and technology with all of my Bennett Family!
