Bennett Elementary third grade teacher Tina Sowder has been selected as a distinguished educators and finalist for the Lubbock Christian University Award for Excellence in Teaching.

Frenship ISD is honored to announce that two teachers – Brianne Katilus from Frenship HS Ninth Grade Center and Honey Segrist from Bennett Elementary – have been selected as winners of the Beaumont Foundation’s 2018 Newton Excellence in Education Award.

Students from all eight Frenship ISD elementary campuses gathered together Thursday at Oak Ridge Elementary to compete in the District Battle of the Books.

Frenship ninth grade student Gabrielle Louis submitted a proposal to World Food Prize Texas Youth Institute at Texas A&M University’s College of Agriculture & Life Sciences.

On Thursday, dozens of Bennett Elementary students completed a four-week class in Tae Kwon Do. The class was directed by Mr. Cheon of Cheon’s Tiger Tae Kwon Do. Mr. Cheon offered the class to Bennett students with idea of donating all the money back to the school. He gave 100% of the proceeds to their PE class totaling $1,300.

The district is in the process of creating next year's calendar and values all input.
